SEPTEMBER 2001
There's no beating around the bush,
so to say, we all know what happened in September.
It was devastating, frustrating, depressing,
frightening...I don't even know if I know enough words to
describe it. Luckily everyone I knew up there and
even in the building was OK. But my heart goes out
to all the families and friends who lost loved
ones. I've decided with things kind of winding down
in "HR Land" that this'll be my last
entry. I know you're probably screaming
"No!" "Say it isn't So!" but it
is. I'm gonna continue passing the film around
Hollywood best I can and see where it gets me.
There are still a few festivals coming up that we have a
shot at and that info will always be updated in the NEWS
section of the site. But it just seems like a good
time to wrap this up. It's been 2 full years
working on this. Doesn't seem that long. It's
time to start concentrating on the next projects.
Whether that'll be "Super Lazy Guy" or maybe
this "Disco Rocks!" short I'm just working on,
who knows? I had a blast working on HR. I
think we all did. I thanked a lot of people in the
film's end credits but now I feel like I have a whole new
list of people I wanna thank for their support and
kind words over the year we've been running at
festivals. First off, I have to say I had a great
cast in this thing. Sabrina, Kevin, and Joe.
I just couldn't have asked for any better. I look
forward to working with them again (hopefully next time
for some $$). Scott Black, I think I've already
mentioned, was just what I needed on the set as my
A.D. My Broho Phil Botti who not only saved me tons
of $ but made the film better than I could ever have done
myself. My right hand man Steve The Hick Hicks I
couldn't even begin to tell you how much this dude helped
out. Without him this thing wouldn't have
happened. He's a talented dude and better than that
he listened to all my bitching and complaining on the
side. My sister Jen has also devoted way too much
of her energy, patience and valuable time to help me
realize this crazy dream I had. There's no one
better than her. No One. And last but not
least these new friends I've made thru this
experience. They helped get HR to the viewing
public and I thank them: Savage Steve Holland, Seth
Sonstein, John Peterson, Scott Calonico, Doug Sakmann,
Graham Fletcher-Cook, Veronica Hunter, Rich Ahlert, Rob
Leddy, Terry Cronin, Cory Ryan, Jim Haverkamp, Eric
Sommer, Chris Gore, Massawyrm, David Kleiler, Justin
Doherty, John Halecky, Ron Lee, Jane Crawford, Rob Jones,
Ivy Charmatz, Jeanette Catsoulis, Julianna Brannum, and
Michael Lucio Sternbach. So that's that I
guess. Keep on Keepin' On and I'll see ya in the
future, not the pasture.... |
